Arthur L. Stewart is a native of Monroe, LA. He previously maintained a solo practice in New Orleans and was subsequently a partner at Deutsch, Kerrigan & Stiles, LLP. Mr. Stewart also gained extensive trial experience working as an Assistant District Attorney in the 4th Judicial District Court’s felony section. His areas of practice include serious personal injury, commercial litigation, family law, commercial litigation, toxic torts, municipal law, and products liability. He has also served as a court-appointed defense liaison for defendant groups in mass asbestos litigation. Mr. Stewart has assisted clients in the formation of various corporate organizations and limited liability companies and has represented several real estate developers, homeowners, and condominium owners associations. He has worked extensively with a non-profit corporation qualified to accept historic preservation easements. The goal of this organization was to preserve the distinctive buildings in the New Orleans area. He has also advised municipalities on various issues regarding application of and governance under the Lawrason Act (La. R.S. 33:361, et seq.). He currently serves as the 4th Judicial District Delegate on the Louisiana State Bar Association House of Delegates. He has previously served on the Board of Directors for the Young Lawyers Sections of the 4th Judicial District Bar Association and the New Orleans Chapter of the Federal Bar Association. Mr. Stewart earned his law degree at Louisiana State University.
